Fundraising Communications

Some institutions are worth two hundred years of care.

Douglas USA LLC Fundraising plans, writes, designs, and manages the communications a capital campaign depends on — the letters, the case for support, the drawings, the numbers, and the pledge in a donor's hand.

We build every campaign from what can be verified: architectural documents, committee-approved budgets, photographs of the actual conditions, and the words of the people who lead the institution. A donor should be able to read a page of ours and know precisely what their gift will do.

The Engagement

Main Street Presbyterian Church, Columbus, Mississippi

Main Street Presbyterian Church has served Columbus since 1829. In 2029 the congregation will mark two hundred years of continuous worship, teaching, and service in the same place. Ahead of that anniversary, the church is undertaking a $1.8 million renovation of the buildings that make its ministry possible.

Douglas USA LLC Fundraising was engaged to build the campaign's donor-facing communications, and is authorized by the church to assist with those materials. The campaign is called Revitalization 2029.

What We Delivered

A campaign a congregation can hold in its hands

The assignment centered on a custom, die-constructed pocket folder and a coordinated set of five double-sided, 8 1/2 × 11-inch folded inserts, each carrying concise copy, illustrative icons, and clear visual organization. Every phase was completed on time and within the budget established by the Revitalization 2029 committee.

01

Messaging development

Establishing what the campaign is — a ministry-centered renewal, not a facilities project — and holding that meaning consistent across every printed piece.

02

Letters from leadership

Writing and setting the appeals from the elders, deacons, and Revitalization 2029 committee, and from the pastor, so the congregation hears its own leaders.

03

Design and illustration

A die-constructed folder, five folded inserts, an icon system for each area of work, and a pledge card that a donor can complete, sign, and return.

04

Condition photography

Capturing the repair and new-construction areas on site, so the congregation can see the practical needs behind the request rather than take them on trust.

05

Production mock-ups

Proofing every panel at size and in sequence, so the committee approved the finished object and not an approximation of it.

06

Print management

Specification, vendor coordination, and delivery of the finished folder and inserts against the committee's schedule and budget.

The Practice

Clarity, readiness, and discipline

Douglas USA LLC provides strategic communications, campaign planning, branded collateral development, donor-facing materials, and fundraising support designed to clarify value, strengthen readiness, and help organizations communicate with purpose and discipline.

Our fundraising practice exists because most capital campaigns fail at the same point: the moment a donor asks what, exactly, the money is for. We answer that question first — with a line-item estimate, an architect of record, and a description of each space that is specific enough to be checked.

Sentiment matters in a campaign, and we do not avoid it. But sentiment is only persuasive when it rests on something true. Our work is to make the true thing legible.

“Main Street Presbyterian Church represents nearly two centuries of worship, service, sacrifice, and community trust. Our goal was to create campaign materials that were clear, sincere, visually engaging, and worthy of the church's legacy, while helping the congregation understand why these renovations matter for future ministry.”
